New Stories, and Things to Come This Year (so far)

2009 has kicked off with a bang, and I have some news to share with you regarding new short story appearances, as well as upcoming book publications.

The latest issue of Doorways Magazine features my collaborative novella "Knock Knock", co-written with Gary A. Braunbeck and John Everson. Based on the comic vignette-series "Open" that appears in Doorways, "Knock Knock" will...er...knock your socks off. Bad pun, I know, but I couldn't resist. You'll love this thing, trust me. Details can be found here.

My short story "Laura" appears in the latest issue of Shroud Magazine. You will like this one, too. You can buy it here.

Delirium Books is publishing my novel Primitive this July in three states: a limited signed edition hardcover of 150 copies, a trade paperback, and a digital download (ebook). This is the best novel I've ever written. Details like price will be forthcoming. For now, if you want up-to-date information on publication, hit up the Delirium Books website and sign up for their newsletter

Delirium Books is also publishing my collection The Summoning and Other Eldritch Tales this year as an exclusive digital download. As part of the program, customers will have the option to purchase a hardcover that will be exclusively produced and manufactured. These aren't fancy limited edition hardcovers with leather bindings, fancy endpapers, or signed signature sheets tipped in. Rather, these are sturdy hardcovers intended as reading copies only. Again, for more information, visit the Delirium Books website. As for the contents, the title should have given this away: it's a collection of my Mythos fiction. Contents include rarities like "The Revenge of Cthulhu" and "Tattoos", to more well-known (and fan favorites) like "The Watcher From the Grave". Two stories make their debut in this volume; the title story "The Summoning" and "Holes". Also included are story notes.

Late 2009 and early 2010 will see the publication of my novel The Corporation from Bloodletting Press. Details on availability, pre-orders, and price will be forthcoming.

Yes, the rumors are true. Brian Keene and I have contracted with Delirium Books to write Clickers III. Tentative publication date is 2010. I can't say anything more except that only some of our cast from Clickers II are back: Tony Genova, Jennifer Wasco, and Clark Arroyo, maybe a few others. And we have a whole new cast of characters, too. Trust me, you guys will love this one.

This is all I have under contract for now, but watch this space for more news as it develops. More sales are expected in the months to come.
